ANGUS SAYS TIMMINS-JAMES BAY DOING WELL WITH INVESTMENTS: Government departments invested at least 177 million in Timmins-James Bay over the last two years

With CBC reporting that New Democrat ridings receive the lion’s share of funding in the north, Timmins-James Bay continues to show strong investments in economic development and infrastructure. Over the past two years, federal government departments, agencies, and crown corporations have invested at least 177 million dollars in Timmins James Bay.

Timmins-James Bay is a centre for economic development in Ontario. It is good to see that we are getting strong federal investment in the region.”

Not all department, agencies, and crown corporations were able to track investment figures by constituency and so the real investment figure is likely higher than 177 million dollars from the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 budget years. However below are examples of some of the departmental spending figures over the past two years.
