Charlie Angus and Timiskaming-Cochrane MPP John Vanthof will be holding a Temiskaming Town Hall meeting this Sunday afternoon at the Kenabeek Hall. It is a chance to update residents on issues in Ottawa and Queens Park. It will also be an opportunity for area residents to get help on issues that may affect them at the federal or provincial level.

Angus says the Town Hall is part of the regular outreach the two NDP politicians do in their vast regions.

“It is important to keep our residents up to date on issues and to give them the chance to talk with us about issues like hydro, pensions or the future of the ONR.”

Vanthof says the only way to properly represent your riding is to actually speak to constituents. “We talk, we listen and we report back to Queen’s Park. When I speak to a minister or the premier, I do so with the concerns of my constituents.”

The TemiskamingTown Hall will take place this Sunday from 1-3pm at the Kenabeek Community Hall on Highway 65 West. All residents are welcome.
