CHARLIE ANGUS WINS BOOK AWARD

Charlie Angus won the Ontario Speakers book Award at Queens Park for the best book on Ontario. The award was for his book Unlikely Radicals; the story of the Adams Mine Dump War. There were 12 finalists and the jury included Lorrie Goldstein of the Sun and Sheila Copps.

Angus says the book tells the story of the fight against the Adams Mine dump plan and how he became involved with Jack Layton in putting together a grass roots resistance campaign to protect the democratic and environmental rights of the north.
