Dewer First Leadership Hopeful To Visit Riding
November 9th, 2011 - 12:37am
Federal NDP Leadership candidate Paul Dewer will be in Timmins and Iroquois Falls this weekend. The 48-year old Ottawa-Centre MP will take part in Remembrance Day ceremonies, and also meet with residents.
Charlie Angus calls Dewer an up and comer within the party. “Paul has established himself as a terrific member of parliament and has served very well in his various critic portfolios.”
Angus is pleased Dewer selected Timmins-James Bay as part of his tour. “I welcome all candidates to come to our riding and speak with northerners. Jack Layton was a friend of the riding, visiting many times, and I want to keep that connection with whoever is chosen leader in March.”
