May 6th, 2015 - 10:04am
Charlie Angus is pleased with the continued investment being made in this riding. Over $300-thousand has been given to Timmins-James Baythis summer to create 130 jobs thru the Canada Summer Jobs program
“Every year we do very well with this program. We are able to give students employment and much needed experience.”
Angus says the jobs will be spread across the entire riding and benefit both the public and private sector.
“Our office is in contact with every successful applicant and the reaction is one of excitement. They know that expansion or continued service of certain programs would not be possible without this investment.”
Funding for the program has remained very strong each year.
Angus says Timmins-James Bay continues to excel at investments in infrastructure, economic development funding and summer job creation.
“It’s been a great program for us. I credit our great working relationship with Service Canada in being able to get the word out and reaping the rewards.”
